Fall 2024 Mission Trip to Uganda

A Mission Trip Marked by Transformation and Joy

An evangelistic team returned with the best report from a mission trip last week. The team was truly blessed to share the gospel with more than 1,700 individuals across six venues in just five days. They witnessed an incredible transformation as sixty-four souls, including the hired DJ, embraced salvation. It was a moment of overwhelming joy and gratitude, a testament to the profound goodness of God experienced repeatedly during the journey. This shared joy and gratitude connects us all in the mission work.

A Modern-Day Miracle in the Busawobi Community

The Busawobi community was invited to the Mandate compound, where the Busawobi Christian Fellowship anticipated hosting 150 people. To their amazement, men, women, and children continued to arrive in numbers they hadn’t expected. As their concern about having enough food grew, they turned to prayer, asking God to bless the resources and meet their needs. Their faith in the power of prayer was reaffirmed when, miraculously, lunch was served to almost 700 individuals, with plenty left over. This unexpected outcome was a powerful reminder of the miracle described in Matthew 14:13-21, where faith and abundance converge.

Impactful Moments from Sayuni and Busawobi

Reports are still coming in. Here is an excerpt from a message received from Paster Alphonce: “In Sayuni, the boy who gave speech, finally gave his Life to Jesus after the visit, after the promise of the second community bore hole, our village church had more people come for worship saying they had never seen such love before by any organization or person. The kids in Sayuni are really excited with the balls and the sanitary pads. They told me to welcome you back. Blessings to the team. At the main church all the people who confessed Jesus during the services turned up for service. They are happy for the bibles. We have started collecting support for the Christmas rice for the prisoners at Bufulubi. Thank for the visit. Looking forward for greater things.” and this message from Busawobi Christian fellowship: “One old man who accepted Jesus on the conference day joined us for church and in his introduction he said that he used to be a Muslim but he converted on that day, and he said that our church is his first church he has come in for prayers.

We also had one lady who said that she was convicted her to take on Jesus as her Savior. Pastor asked the congregation if there were more people that felt like renewing their covenant and some people joined the other lady.”  Praise the LORD!!!
