Mama Kits

The Mama Kit is an all-in-one kit that contains everything needed to help provide a clean and safe delivery. Hospitals or clinics in Uganda require the patient to bring the necessary birthing supplies themselves. If mothers do not have these supplies, they often are turned away. Many of the women cannot buy the supplies, so they do not seek medical care. Unclear or lack of birthing supplies leads to complications and even death for the mothers and babies. The Mandate provides these kits for those who cannot afford them and help with clean, sterile home births.
