A New Well for Busowobi
Exciting news!
In the coming weeks, we will be drilling another well in the village of Busowobi, bringing clean and accessible water to more families.
Before drilling begins, a skilled technician surveys the area to determine the best location for the well—one with the deepest and most abundant water source.
Using a small machine resembling a car battery, the technician sends out wires on both sides and takes readings as his assistant moves across the area. Each time he calls out “Stop,” the assistant halts, and data is recorded. This process continues down the road, with two men carrying wires, methodically mapping out the ideal drilling spot.
As always, the process draws a lively crowd, with curious villagers gathering to watch. The best part? The children excitedly join in, mimicking the technician by shouting “Stop!” at every turn, turning the survey into a fun community event!
Drilling a well is more than a technical process—it’s a moment of hope and celebration for the village. With The Mandate’s commitment to drilling a new well every six months, we continue to bring life-changing access to clean water for those in need.
Stay tuned for updates as we bring fresh water to Busowobi!
