Support For Widows and Orphans

Empowering Widows and Orphans in Uganda

How We Help

The Mandate is a dedicated organization that provides vital support to widows and orphans in Uganda, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. Through comprehensive programs, we offer access to education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities, ensuring these vulnerable groups receive the care and support they need. By addressing their immediate needs and fostering long-term stability, we empower them to become self-reliant and thriving members of their communities.

How You Can Help

You can make a real difference in their lives by donating funds, sponsoring a child’s education, or volunteering your time. Regardless of size, every contribution helps us continue our work and expand our reach to more widows and orphans across Uganda. Join us today in our mission to transform lives and create brighter futures.

Supplemental Food Supply

Unfortunately, the need for supplemental food distribution to widows in Uganda is a frequent reality due to numerous factors affecting the availability of adequate food supplies. The Mandate actively responds to this need by providing essential items, including a pound of rice, beans, or posho, and fresh fruits and vegetables harvested from local farms.

Additionally, we supply firewood, charcoal, and soap to help meet their daily living needs. Our efforts extend beyond just meeting basic needs; we aim to show compassion and care through tangible actions. This includes growing our own food, raising chickens for consumption or sale, and undertaking home repairs to ensure safe and secure living conditions for the widows we support.

Solar Lighting Kits

For many undeveloped regions, evenings at home are filled with activities like watching TV, doing homework, and working on projects, all under the convenience of ample lighting. Imagine if your only light source was a candle or a small lamp.

The Mandate recognizes this challenge and provides solar lighting kits to widows in our Ugandan village. These lights allow them to safely navigate their homes at night, avoid potential hazards, and give their children extra time to complete schoolwork. This simple change significantly enhances their nightly routines and overall safety.
